About
Parkhill is a student residence for men near the University of Ottawa campus. Here, we seek to offer an environment where students can mature in their development and develop their talents. Since 1992, through its programs of formation and activities, Parkhill has helped a large number of young men.
Organisation
Parkhill is owned and operated by the Association for Cultural and Educational Development (ACED), a not-for-profit corporation founded in 1992 and recognized as a charitable organization (registration no. 899613871RR0001).

Fr. Salva Rego
Fr. Salvador Rego (Fr. Salva) was born in Spain in 1976. In his late teens he moved to Canada to study Chemical Engineering at McGill University. For eleven years he worked in the private sector and as a university researcher in Ottawa and Toronto. Part of this experience allowed him to complete a doctorate in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Toronto. In 2014, he moved to Rome to finish his studies in theology and was ordained in 2017. His first appointment upon his return to Canada was as chaplain of Riverview Centre in Montreal. In 2020 he began serving as chaplain of Parkhill Residence.
Opus Dei
The parents and educators who make Parkhill a reality are inspired by the message of St. Josemaria, the founder of Opus Dei, an institution of the Catholic Church that helps people find God in their everyday life. Activities of Christian formation at Parkhill are entrusted to Opus Dei.
